Fula's debut album was initially released on cassette format only in 1995. But in 2002 was remastered, becoming the band's 3rd cd release.
Recorded on 4 track, as well as strong songs, it has a charm perhaps lost these days in the hi-tech digital world of cds, i-pods and mp4 players.
The music was written by Rob Gould and lyrics by then vocalist Nadeen Plant who performed just once with Fula at "The Cheese" in Buxton, UK in May 95.
Songs from "Songs from Beyond the Merrygolight" are still performed by Fula today.
